SCHEDULE for SATURDAY

Saturday Oct. 8, 2011 – Raytown Invitational

Below is the schedule for Saturday Oct. 8, 2011. [As with Blue Springs the uniforms and hats will travel on the bus with you.] There is a significant difference in the perform times of the drumline and color guard and the performance time for the band so for this trip we will be traveling in two shifts. Please refer to the schedule below for your exact arrival and departure times.

SHIFT 1 – Drumline and Color Guard – (1 Bus)
8:30am Band room opens and loading begins
9:30am Depart for Raytown
10:15am Arrive/unload and change into uniforms
12:10pm Drumline Performance
12:20pm Color Guard Performance
1:00pm Bus 1 eats lunch

SHIFT 2 – Brass and Woodwinds – (2 Buses)
1:30pm Band room opens and loading begins
2:00pm Depart for Raytown
3:00pm Arrive Raytown and Buses 2 & 3 eat lunch
4:50pm Band warm-up begins
5:20pm Band Performance
5:35pm Band Clinic
7:00pm Awards in the Stadium
7:45pm Load for return to Platte City (all 3 buses)
8:15pm Return Home – (approximate)

BLUE SPRINGS INVITATIONAL October 1, 2011

CONGRATULATIONS to the Pride Girls for earning 3rd place in the INDOOR Colorguard competition Saturday.

The Pride Band took 5th place out of 10 bands in the class-5A division in the field competition.

GREAT JOB and keep up the good work.

Homecoming 2011

As soon as Dr. Jones gives us the specific times I will put them on here... Parade is usually around 2pm downtown. Bus will take the band students to the start of the parade and then following the parade, the band performs on the courthouse steps, with the guard performing on the grass in front.
Sometimes there is a tailgate performance in the evening in the North gym (like STEP-OFF night) and then of course we have the game. If the band performs at the game it will be after the game. (Queen coronation takes place at half-time)

CALENDAR ERROR!

Just noticed on my copy of the fall calendar that the first competition is left off for some reason. I have it on the blog here in the calendar block...and it is on the handout Dr. Jones gave everyone, so please make sure you add Oct. 1st to your yellow calendar - BAND @ BLUE SPRINGS (pride band)
